The Artist:
is the artist behind the story of Kustom-17. His style of automotive design combines old school romantic retrospective aesthetics with contemporary future visions, that not only come from years of automotive industry experience, but also a deep passion for all things on wheels.

An automotive designer by trade, Pete Elliott left FoMoCo after 14 years in early 2010 to pursue a career in freelance design. Since this time, Pete has worked on several freelance projects, as varied as designing future concept motorcycles for a team of superheros in a graphic novel to a modern regional bus for use in the Middle East market. In addition to freelance work, Pete also lectures at Monash University in transportation design and illustration.
Kustom-17, Pete's latest project, showcases his most recent design work in a creative setting. K-17 is an idea that was in the making for some time, inspired by Pete's passion for automotive counter culture and retro automobiles. A visual story of an organisation committed to the exploration and discovery of rare and previously undiscovered vehicles. A dedicated crew uncovering a series of rides from the past - a collection of "could have been" automotive dreams from perhaps a parallel reality.
